About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes, safety, and positive patient experience. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients across the lifespan presenting within emergent or urgent conditions in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and the ability to respond effectively to trauma, medical emergencies, and disaster situations. Must be competent in the use of all equipment in the specialty. On‑call may be required.
