About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. This role is based in a 26-bed department-level 1 Trauma Center, Accredited Chest Pain and Stroke Center, serving the Billings and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status.
  • Seeks and evaluates information from other members of the interdisciplinary team, including patients, families, physicians, non-nursing disciplines, support staff, and others.
  • Collaboratively develops and implements individualized plans of care, involving patient, family, team, and physician input.
  • Coordinates interdisciplinary care teams through delegation, coordination, and collaboration.
  • Directs care delivery, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Evaluates patient responses to interventions and revises plans as necessary.
  • Promotes professionalism and participates in the development of others.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • One year of licensed RN experience required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • One year of licensed RN experience required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025.

Pay

$38.37 - $57.29 per hour, actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

Schedule

Full time, 36 hours/week, night shift.

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require verbal communication, hearing, and understanding spoken information quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles while driving a vehicle.
