Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Nassau in Fernandina Beach, FL. This is a PRN Night shift opportunity. The Emergency Department at Baptist Nassau provides high-quality, patient-centered emergency care to coastal communities in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, and emergent conditions.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate care with ancillary services to support optimal outcomes.
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and satisfaction.
• Participate in staff meetings, unit-based initiatives, and continuous quality improvement.

• Provide for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement.
• Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Include patients and significant others/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educate patients, significant others, and families about disease processes and plans of care.
• Serve as a patient advocate and provide care for patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

• 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing experience (required).
• Telemetry experience (required).
• Emergency Department experience (preferred).
• Hospital experience (required).

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (required).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required within 6 months for Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (required within 1 year of hire for Free Standing EDs and within 6 months for Wolfson Children's Hospital ED).
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), TNCC, NIHSS (preferred).
