- Performing thorough assessments, reassessments, and documenting findings accurately.
- Developing, coordinating, and evaluating individualized care plans based on assessment data, diagnoses, and physician orders.
- Administering medications, monitoring IV fluids, and providing patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals.
- Recognizing and responding to changes in patient conditions, implementing specialized care such as pain management, restraint use, and abuse assessments.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members, ensuring proper handoffs, and maintaining clear communication.
- Adhering to safety, infection control, and quality standards, including completing mandatory trainings and certifications.
- Providing respectful, courteous service, maintaining patient privacy, and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Supporting performance improvement initiatives, participating in research, and ensuring age-appropriate care.
Qualifications and Skills
- Active RN license in applicable states (Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, or compact states).
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety, infection control, and continuous professional development.
