Registered Nurse - Emergency Department, Main Campus, PRN

About the role

The Level 1 Trauma Center Main Campus Emergency Department at MetroHealth System focuses on providing high-quality care to acutely ill pediatric to adult patients. The department is part of a larger system that aims to eliminate healthcare disparities and works at the forefront of medicine.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and triage
• Provide trauma care services
• Insert IVs, perform blood draws, and insert Foley catheters
• Manage time effectively and think critically
• Delegate tasks to other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Current NIHSS Stroke certification
• One year of relevant RN experience for PRN positions

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Association preferred
• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NRP) certification preferred
