Registered Nurse - PRN, Emergency Department

About the Role
Mercy Hospital Logan County is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital providing care to Observation, Inpatient, and Swing patients. Our unit maintains a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. Nursing staff work closely with the Therapy department to deliver coordinated, excellent care aimed at facilitating the highest level of return to pre-hospitalization lifestyle.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed; must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- None required; at least six months of experience as an LPN or RN preferred.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
Certifications
Required certifications (training provided by Mercy during orientation if not already certified):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit-specific certifications as required or acquisition within department-required timeframe
