About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department plays a vital role within an interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care in a clinical environment supported by evidence-based practice and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and individualized care.
• Delivering relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient populations.
• Partnering with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
• Coordinating and documenting safe, quality care while promoting teamwork, collaboration, and inclusive communication.
• Supporting performance improvement activities, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Mentoring colleagues and participating in professional development and competency assessments.
• Ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, including safety goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with required certifications including BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ACLS.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
