About the Role

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Evening shift with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Located in the St. Johns Town Center area, this freestanding emergency center brings Baptist Health’s high-quality emergency services to one of Jacksonville’s busiest and fastest-growing areas. The facility is designed to provide efficient emergency care with advanced technology and streamlined patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Act as the patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
• Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
• Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel
• Include patients and significant others/families in developing an individualized plan of care

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
• Emergency Department Experience (Preferred)
• Hospital Experience
• Telemetry Experience

Education & Credential Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) (Preferred)
• Conscious Sedation Certification (Preferred)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (Preferred)
• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) (Preferred)
