Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Evening

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides professional nursing care, adhering to state laws and hospital policies. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, monitoring progress, and documenting observations. The RN delegates appropriate tasks to staff and collaborates as part of a team to meet unit goals. Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required within five years if initially holding an associate degree. Must have 1+ years of emergency department experience. Valid Illinois RN license, CPR certification, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS stroke scale certification (all within specified timeframes) are mandatory. Key Duties: Deliver quality patient care, utilize critical thinking, monitor patient status, document findings, and support team functions. Ability to work evening shifts, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.
