Registered Nurse - ED Surge Capacity / Float Pool - F/T Nights

About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering safe and excellent individualized patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring continuity and coordination with other healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data for patient health or situation assessment.
• Develops a plan of care that includes strategies and interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Communicates and coordinates care with patients, families, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members.
• Administers medications using advanced technologies to ensure safe medication delivery.
• Coordinates patient discharge to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
• Evaluates patient progress towards achieving outcomes and initiates necessary interventions.
• Adapts to changing patient needs and maintains a high standard of patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (preferred).
• National certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.
• Quick learning ability, strong teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and passion for delivering high-quality care.
• Self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
