About the role

The Director of Postpartum provides strategic and operational leadership for postpartum and lactation services, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Oversees unit operations, staffing, budgeting, and performance outcomes while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Leads quality improvement initiatives, supports staff development, and ensures alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and evidence‑based practices. Responsible for optimizing patient flow, care coordination, and overall patient experience across postpartum services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required).
• Current BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience (Supervisor level or higher) within Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or Mother‑Baby services.
• Strong background in maternal‑child health, staff leadership, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead large teams, manage high patient volumes, and drive quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives.
• Experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across departments.
