About the role
The LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center seeks a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis Nurse - aligned under Ambulatory Care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other disciplines/departments to achieve desired patient outcomes
- Serves as primary nurse for ESRD patient panel and assists patients in navigating the healthcare system
- Completes documentation for clinical and technical recordkeeping in the electronic health record and treatment flowsheets
- Maintains ongoing care continuity and reports outcomes to the interdisciplinary team
- Delegates care elements to appropriate individuals based on patient needs, condition, and safety
Requirements
- Basic English language proficiency
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Current full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse
- Completion of a master's degree in nursing or a related field with a BSN, or equivalent
- Experience in dialysis nursing preferred

- Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by an accrediting agency

Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage complex client situations
- Knowledge of end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, and chronic kidney disease
