Department: Dialysis
Shift: Full Time; 8am-6:30pm; call required
Facility: Saint Joseph Medical Center
Location: Joliet, IL

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Inpatient Renal Care Unit
  • Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients
  • Communicate with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS (certificate upon hire and maintain current)
  • Certification in Nephrology Nursing, Apheresis Nursing or both is highly encouraged
  • Two Years Experience in Acute Care Hemodialysis nursing, preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.70 to $54.11. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
