About the role
A Registered Nurse (RN) provides essential care to patients with kidney disease in a dialysis setting, working under supervision and assisting Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Deliver safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatments, including physical assessments, monitoring during treatments, and documenting care.
- Administer medications as per physician orders and review patient medication profiles monthly.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to conduct patient assessments and care planning.
- Ensure staffing requirements are met according to regulations and under the supervision of leadership.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all policies, procedures, and legal requirements to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to perform detailed assessments and documentation.
- Knowledge of renal care and medication administration.
