About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU in a newly renovated 29-bed unit. This role involves providing specialized care for critically ill patients with severe cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions, including cardiogenic shock, aortic dissection, mechanical circulatory support, and post-surgical recovery.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care and ensure individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and team members
- Monitor invasive hemodynamics
- Support patients with mechanical support devices
- Act as the primary caregiver for new admissions until critical care milestones are achieved
- Adhere to unit policies and maintain a patient-nurse ratio of 1-2:1
Requirements
- Current RN licensure
- One year of relevant experience (preferred)
- Critical care experience (a plus)
- Leadership skills and compassionate communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred)
