About the role

Join a specialized Cardiovascular Surgical ICU in a newly renovated 29-bed unit, providing advanced care for critically ill cardiac, vascular, and thoracic patients.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care.
• Collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Providing post-anesthesia recovery and managing complex cardiac conditions such as cardiogenic shock, aortic dissection, mechanical circulatory support, and post-open heart surgery care.
• Monitoring invasive hemodynamics and supporting patients with mechanical devices like ECMO, VA, VV, VAV, RVAD, and LVAD.
• Maintaining a patient nurse ratio of 1-2:1 and adjusting staffing based on patient acuity.
• Acting as a team leader, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, and ensuring safe patient management within established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of acute nursing experience; CVICU or Medical ICU experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Critical care experience is a plus.
