About the Role

Join a specialized Cardiovascular Surgical ICU caring for critically ill patients with severe cardiac, vascular, and thoracic disorders. This role involves providing specialized critical care in a 29-bed unit with a patient-nurse ratio of 1-2:1. Act as a leader within the healthcare team, establishing personalized patient relationships, and ensuring quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to post-surgical and cardiac patients, including those on mechanical circulatory support and invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress, manage complex equipment, and ensure timely recovery or transfer to step-down units.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, documentation, and communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of acute nursing experience; CVICU or ICU experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state and BLS certification required.
• Critical care experience is advantageous.
