Registered Nurse - CV ICU

About the Role

This position is for an experienced registered nurse in a specialized Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with a focus on cardiac and vascular patient care. The nurse practices independently, delivering both routine and complex nursing care, and collaborates closely with cardiovascular surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation based on ANA standards.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and side effects.
• Document patient information accurately.
• Educate patients and families about care and resources.
• Deliver comprehensive cardiac patient care and manage contingencies.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to support optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; minimum of 1 year of experience in a related critical care setting preferred.
• Current RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Successful completion of onboarding and annual competency validations.
• New hires must attend orientation within 30 days.
• Credentialing grace periods vary for certifications.
• Candidates with acute care experience in similar service lines are considered experienced.

Schedule

Full-time, 7 AM to 7 PM.
