Registered Nurse- Critical Care Step Down 7W PRN

About the Role

Join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at MetroHealth Main Campus, a state-of-the-art facility with enhanced technology to assist nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and continuous telemetry monitoring.

The primary patient population includes Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs
• Provide central line care
• Operate rescue Bi-pap, high flow oxygen, trach/vents
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies)
• Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, and OT

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Current ACLS certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association

Unit Details

• 14 beds on the unit
• Variable shifts and days
• 8.00 bi-weekly hours
