Registered Nurse - Critical Care/Step Down

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, manages a group of patients, and utilizes the nursing process, technology, and resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include performing unit-specific duties, implementing and adjusting care plans based on assessments, documenting nursing care, and ensuring patient and staff safety. The nurse conducts initial patient assessments, develops and modifies care plans, and performs interventions, especially for CVICU patients (post-op CABG, vascular, ICU status). Hourly patient rounding and proactive assistance to colleagues and patients are essential. Qualifications and skills include current BLS certification, RN licensure, ACLS certification within a year, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant work experience.
