About the Role

This position involves managing individualized, outcome-focused nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, and delivering care in accordance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, transcribe, and document medications following policies; perform medication reconciliation and narcotic management.
  • Develop, evaluate, and update personalized care plans; conduct admission assessments; document care and patient responses; facilitate discharge planning.
  • Promote a culture of safety by verifying patient identities, adhering to infection control protocols, and understanding emergency procedures.
  • Engage in professional development through evidence-based practice, respond to feedback, and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Utilize technology effectively, including electronic health records and departmental software, with awareness of downtime procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and privacy standards; report potential issues appropriately.
  • Provide patient and family-centered care, respecting individual preferences, involving families, and considering cultural and age-specific needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; previous acute care RN experience preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse; certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, or others may be required depending on the department.
