Registered Nurse - Community Health

Department: Community Health Education
Location: Aurora, IL, 60506
Schedule: Full Time Days, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm (flexibility for evenings & weekends as needed)

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care addressing both physical and emotional needs of patients.
• Answer questions about diagnoses, medical treatments, medications, and procedures.
• Coordinate treatment plans in collaboration with doctors.
• Conduct regular home, hospital, or convalescent facility visits to monitor health status and offer support, including bereavement care.
• Serve as a patient advocate.
• Assist with preparing members for medical visits and offer referrals to community agencies.
• Provide spiritual support, including praying with members when requested.
• Support the Community Benefits department through events and other activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Certification in Holistic Nursing or completion of a specialized Parish Nurse/Faith Community Nurse training program preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in a clinical or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge and skills in spiritual care, health education, and community outreach in faith-based settings.
• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in faith-based or holistic healthcare, is an asset.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $35.35 to $53.58 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
