Registered Nurse Clinical Educator II - Clinical Education

About the Role

The Clinical Educator II advances clinical excellence by designing, delivering, and evaluating education and competency development programs.

Responsibilities

• Conducts needs assessments to identify clinical knowledge and skill gaps.
• Develops and leads education initiatives using contemporary teaching methods, including simulation and eLearning.
• Facilitates onboarding, orientation, and ongoing staff development, ensuring regulatory compliance and clinical proficiency.
• Coordinates competency validation, including skills assessments and regulatory requirements.
• Serves as a mentor and resource for preceptors and staff, promoting evidence-based practice and interprofessional learning.
• Maintains documentation of educational activities and evaluates program effectiveness for continuous improvement.
• Participates in quality improvement and safety initiatives related to clinical education.

Requirements

• BSN required; current enrollment considered with expected completion.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience; experience in education or staff development preferred.
• RN licensure in the state or via compact.
• BLS certification required within 30 days.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and technology-enhanced learning tools.
• ANCC Nursing Professional Development Certification preferred.
