About the role

Seeking a registered nurse for the Endocrinology department, primarily providing direct patient care in accordance with organizational policies and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and document patient conditions, communicating updates as required.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care and execute physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with healthcare team members.
  • Round with physicians in inpatient settings as needed.
  • Apply professional nursing standards and ethics, ensuring patient-specific care based on age and clinical needs.
  • Maintain safety and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent for licensing.
  • Current RN license and BLS certification for the applicable state.

Physical and Technical Requirements

  • Constant communication, standing, walking, and frequent lifting of objects and patients.
  • Use of vision, hearing, smell, and manual dexterity for patient care and safety.
  • Occasional driving and physical movements like bending or kneeling.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Experience working with diabetes patients is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate professionalism, and adhere to safety standards.
