About the role
Seeking a registered nurse for the Endocrinology department, primarily providing direct patient care in accordance with organizational policies and evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans and document patient conditions, communicating updates as required.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care and execute physician and nursing orders.
- Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with healthcare team members.
- Round with physicians in inpatient settings as needed.
- Apply professional nursing standards and ethics, ensuring patient-specific care based on age and clinical needs.
- Maintain safety and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent for licensing.
- Current RN license and BLS certification for the applicable state.
Physical and Technical Requirements
- Constant communication, standing, walking, and frequent lifting of objects and patients.
- Use of vision, hearing, smell, and manual dexterity for patient care and safety.
- Occasional driving and physical movements like bending or kneeling.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Experience working with diabetes patients is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate professionalism, and adhere to safety standards.
