Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Recovery

Responsibilities

• Serve as a vital guardian of cardiac recovery by managing patients post-interventional procedures such as angioplasties, stenting, or structural repairs.
• Lead the immediate post-procedure care, ensuring hemodynamic stability, monitoring heart rhythms, and preventing complications at access sites.
• Interpret real-time data to adjust treatments, manage cardiac medications, and transition patients safely from procedures to recovery.
• Educate patients and families on long-term heart health and anticipate vascular or cardiac risks to intervene early.

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Nurse licensure from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Life Support (ALS) preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedural care.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills.

Key Duties

• Manage post-procedural cardiac and vascular patient recovery.
• Maintain vigilance over vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and access sites for complications.
• Interpret data and adjust medications accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on recovery protocols and long-term health.
• Identify early signs of distress to prevent adverse events.
