Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Step Down
About the Role
As a Progressive Care Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, serving as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
- Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- CPI Certification.
- A minimum of one year of acute care Medical/Surgical/Tele RN experience.
