Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Progressive Care, Night Shift - VUH

About the role

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is a community dedicated to advancing health and wellness through teaching, discovery, and patient care. The 8MCE Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) is a 40-bed facility caring for adult patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinating and implementing care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse (RN)
• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
• Experience in a progressive care setting preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to changes to patient care and area needs with minimal disruption and loss of productivity.
• Follows up to assure problems and issues are resolved.
• Competent in handling multiple assignments often simultaneously by prioritizing work into manageable and measurable units.
