Primary department: N/ST3 Cardiac Telemetry, UHS Wilson Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients
  • Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management
  • Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies
  • Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services
  • Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies
  • Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence-based practice and nursing research
  • Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient care

Qualifications

  • Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

Licensure & Certifications

  • Minimum Required: Current New York State Registered Nurse License
  • Preferred: CCRN certification
  • Additional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)

Pay

Compensation range: $40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience.

Sign-on bonus: Up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus for candidates who meet eligibility criteria.

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 regular scheduled weekly hours). Night shift.
