Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for assigned patients. Acts as a primary or accountable nurse, ensuring patient safety and quality care. Educates patients and families on health promotion, treatment, and disease management while safely administering medications per policies. Supports resource management, adheres to practice standards and regulations, and participates in governance, improvement initiatives, and peer review. Contributes to a supportive learning environment and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

• Administer medications safely and in accordance with policies.
• Support resource management and adhere to practice standards and regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Current NY State RN licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care preferred.
• Additional certifications such as CCRN, ACLS, PALS, or TNCC are preferred.

Work Environment & Patient Demographics

Performs in clinical and patient care areas with frequent walking, standing, and lifting. Works in a fast-paced setting with exposure to disinfectants and PPE. Serves patients of all ages and accesses non-restricted patient information in line with HIPAA policies.
