About the role
The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. They operate within organizational policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability. The nurse is responsible for maintaining practice standards and coordinating patient care activities among assigned staff to ensure quality nursing services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care based on assessment and clinical judgment
- Coordinate and supervise nursing activities of team members
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and professional standards
- Maintain documentation and accurate records of patient care
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of a nursing program
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience with ability to interpret EKGs
- Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred: hospital-based nursing experience, bachelor’s degree, and advanced certifications in specialty areas
