Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

About the Role

Provides direct nursing care according to organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans, communicates patient conditions, and coordinates multidisciplinary care. Follows physician and nursing orders and assesses discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current license or eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school and professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a cardiac stepdown setting.
• Serve as a primary coordinator for patient care, ensuring seamless communication among care disciplines.
• Assist with discharge planning and follow physician and nursing directives.
