Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization Lab

About the Role

Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiac Cath Lab, responsible for patient assessment, care coordination, effective communication, and individualized patient and family education. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains current nursing standards, laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Coordinate patient care plans to ensure interventions are safe, timely, and appropriate.
• Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
• Provide tailored education to patients and families based on thorough assessments.
• Participate in evaluating and improving nursing practice quality.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited institution.
• Current Illinois nursing license.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• At least 1 year of Cath Lab experience.
• Available for scheduled on-call shifts, including weekends.
