Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab - Full Time/Day/4 days a week

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you’ll work in a high-quality, high-volume environment with a critical care team dedicated to cardiac patients. Our six labs handle emergent and elective cardiac procedures, including Structural Heart, Electrophysiology, and Peripheral procedures. We also manage a 24-bed recovery area for prep and recovery, along with procedures like TEE, Cardioversion, and loop recorder implants.

• Average over 180 STEMIs (ST elevation myocardial infarctions) per year
• Approximately 1,200 PCIs (percutaneous coronary interventions) per year
• 90% of cath procedures are radial
• Continuous adoption of new techniques and technology for the highest quality of care

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab for emergent and elective cardiac procedures
• Assist with Structural Heart, Electrophysiology, and Peripheral procedures
• Manage prep and recovery in a 24-bed unit for inpatients and outpatients
• Perform additional procedures such as TEE, Cardioversion, and loop recorder implants
• Collaborate with a high-functioning critical care team of nurses and registered cardiovascular specialists (RCIS/RCES)

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
• Previous work experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or minimum of one year experience in critical care
• BCLS certification
• ACLS certification
