Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab, Day Shift - VUH

The Cardiac Cath Lab Team 20 is a part of this larger organization, offering a high-acuity, fast-paced environment where nurses can gain advanced procedural experience and collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinating and implementing care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements

• Inpatient cardiology, ICU, or stepdown experience preferred.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic interpretation preferred.
• Adult acute care nursing experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure.
• Relevant work experience, 1 year minimum.

• Ability to adapt to changes to patient care and area needs with minimal disruption and loss of productivity.
• Follows up to assure problems and issues are resolved.
• Competent in providing patient education in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Proficient in assessing and evaluating patients in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Has experience in gathering pertinent clinical data that aid in referral, treatment, or other primary care pathways.
• Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully search for evidence to answer clinical questions.
