About the role
CoreCivic is seeking Registered Nurses who can provide high-quality care in an institutional setting. The ideal candidate will be able to perform all necessary functions at the required pace and level.
Responsibilities
- Apply appropriate nursing skills in managing inmate/resident health issues.
- Attend sick call with physicians, preparing lists and examining rooms as needed.
- Examine and assess new inmates/residents for illnesses or injuries, referring to emergency services if necessary.
- Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify licensed providers for treatment orders.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and monitoring of nursing care provided by other staff members.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a degree or diploma in nursing.
- Current licensure in the state of employment.
- One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
