About the role

To help students achieve their maximum level of functioning within their environment by helping them access and maximize the use of health resources that are available to them. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing physical and psychological support to students, friends, and families.

• Pharmaceutical Duties
• HIV Counselor/Tester Duties
• STI Counselor Duties
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Advanced Primary Health Care or any equivalent qualification
• Must be registered with the Health Professional Council of Namibia (Nursing Council)
• Five (5) years’ experience in Community health and primary health care
• Experienced and sensitive to the needs of staff and students from diverse multicultural backgrounds
• Strong clinical nursing experience
• Able to provide HIV counselling and testing
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of normal and abnormal midwifery
• Pharmacotherapy and presentation skills
