Registered Nurse

About the role

Sunshine Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide one-on-one nursing care in the home setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients at home.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document the patient's health status.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
• Assist with medical devices such as feeding tubes, tracheostomies, oxygen, nebulizers, and catheters as needed.
• Collaborate with family and healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with the care plan developed by the RN Case Manager and physician.
• Document care and communicate updates with Sunshine Homecare Services and the RN case manager.
• Use appropriate infection control procedures and safety measures.
• Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current NYS RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR Certification.

Skills

• Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
• Organized and detail-oriented documentation skills.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.
