Registered Nurse

Part-time, unlimited position located in Anoka, MN. Evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), approximately 64 hours per pay period. Schedule varies and includes every other weekend. Salary range: $40.59 - $60.06 per hour. This position may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $10,000; current state employees are not eligible.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care while assessing the needs of patients and developing individualized plans. You will participate and assist in implementing care and treatment determined by nursing staff and supervisors within the hospital.

Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is a secure inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing assessments of each patient’s biopsychosocial needs
• Develop initial nursing plan of care
• Perform charge nurse duties
• Apply interventions identified in the treatment plan and document all nursing care
• Facilitate and co-facilitate group programming
• Interact respectfully with all patients while maintaining professional boundaries
• Provide input on patients’ progress and recommend any changes to the treatment plan
• Participate in discharge planning with the patient and other team members

Requirements

• Possess or be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota
• Future Registered Nurses who are within six months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply; contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-RN
• Resume must clearly describe experience in relevant areas and indicate beginning and ending month/year for each job held
• Applicants must provide a copy of their high school diploma or college transcript/degree at the time of interview
• Documentation of being free from tuberculosis (TB) through a blood test is required prior to employment
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States at the start of employment
