About the role
The RN provides care management to individuals with developmental disabilities under OPWDD regulations. This includes supervising staff in delegated nursing tasks such as medication administration, medical care, and participation in team meetings, as well as education and training within the scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of all staff providing medical support to individuals within the residential program.
- Ensure effective medical care with proper documentation.
- Maintain the medical well-being of individuals in a safe and clean environment.
- Implement, monitor, and supervise staff regarding trainings, delegated nursing tasks, and AMAP staff.
- Provide 24-hour telephone triage with a 30-minute response time as per OPWDD regulations.
- Attend required meetings: clinical, nursing, ISP, residential staff, and others as needed.
- Maintain HIPAA regulations.

Requirements
- RN license; BSN preferred.
- At least 1 year of work experience.
- Current NYS nursing license and BLS certification.
- OPWDD experience and knowledge.
- Ability to utilize nursing assessment skills in an autonomous environment.
- Critical thinking skills to monitor and analyze medical records, reports, triage calls, and supervise staff as needed.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work in-person in New York City (NYC).
- Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites if required.

Schedule
Full-time: 35 hours per week, 5 days.
