About the role
The Registered Nurse at Landmark Medical Center is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and directing and guiding patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe patient care using the nursing process.
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients and visitors.
- Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current NRP certification within 90 days.
- Maintain current Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
- STABLE preferred.
