Job Description

The Registered Nurse independently plans and provides excellent professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders, established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics.

Unit Overview

The unit is located on the 6th floor of Parkview Regional Medical Center. 6 Medical has 24 beds and is an acute‑care unit that cares for patients with infections, complications from chronic diseases, and comorbidities.

Qualifications

• Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN.
• RN experience in the ICU or Med/Surg.
• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• CPR certification (additional certifications may be required for specified areas).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds (lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule

Full‑time, 36 hours per week. Open start times: 3 a.m.–3 p.m., 7 a.m.–7 p.m., 3 p.m.–3 a.m., or 7 p.m.–7 a.m.
