Registered Nurse

Job Duties

• Works under the general supervision of medical providers.
• Responsible for nursing practices, policies, and procedures within the RN scope of practice.
• Supervises Health Assistants and Medical Assistants as required.
• Provides clinical nursing services to patients within the RN scope of practice, aiming to deliver primary healthcare services to OneWorld patients.
• Affords assistance to providers in healthcare activities, performs diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, and administers medications as necessary.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for healthcare services by keeping exam rooms, nurse’s station, equipment, and other work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
• In the absence of a laboratory technician, performs routine lab procedures.
• Communicates with patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to solve problems as they arise in the clinic.
• Directs the activities of Health Assistants and Medical Assistants and provides day-to-day supervision.
