About the Role
Ohioans Home Health offers a variety of roles designed to support our patients and their families. Each position plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor medication compliance, set up IV therapy, and provide injection education.
- Ensure diet compliance and manage intravenous nutrition.
- Teach patients and caregivers the proper use of inhalers, aerosol machines, and oxygen equipment.
- Offer post-operative care and monitor patients for signs of cardiac issues.
- Perform dressing changes, apply wound vac therapy, and assess wound healing.
- Provide disease education on conditions such as COPD, CHF, diabetes, renal failure, MS, osteoporosis, and more.
- Care for infants and children with various diagnoses, including PICC care, tracheostomy care, chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, nasogastric or enterostomy feedings, and medication administration.
Requirements
To join our team, candidates must possess:
- Valid state license to practice as a registered nurse (RN).
- Experience in home healthcare or related fields preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passing scores on relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, PALS).
Qualifications
Qualifications for these positions include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or associate degree in nursing (ADN).
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio.
- At least one year of experience in home healthcare or related fields.
- Knowledge of home healthcare regulations and standards.
