Registered Nurse

About the role

The Pre-Op/Post Op Registered Nurse will provide exemplary patient care alongside Physicians in treating cataracts, glaucoma, diseases of the cornea, and performing laser vision correction surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Exercise good clinical judgement during Pre-Op/Post Op care and ensure all policies and procedures are being followed.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced PACU and OR while exhibiting sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Aid in the overall management and leadership of the Surgical Center.
• Provide outstanding patient care on a daily basis.
• Work with Anesthesia providers on sedation and carefully monitor patients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and manage recovery and discharge procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
• Experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of perioperative care and post-operative care protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a surgical setting.
• Experience with anesthesia and monitoring equipment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
