About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Health Contact Centre team. In this role, you will coordinate care, support patients, and enhance access to community health services by responding to service requests via telephone, email, fax, and mail. The position requires strong clinical judgement, customer-focused service delivery, and the ability to navigate between different service request types using technology.
Where you'll be working
Macquarie Hospital, North Ryde, with potential to work from satellite centres under agreed conditions.
Responsibilities
- Respond to service requests via telephone, email, fax, and mail.
- Identify and implement outcomes to the satisfaction of the referrer or client.
- Complete encounter requirements for each service request.
- Demonstrate a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Develop knowledge of targeted Intake and Admission service streams.
- Use technology effectively and transition between different service request types.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA Division 1 Nurses Registration.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Primary and Community Care service sector, General Practice, the community care sector, and the Acute and Sub-acute care environments.
- Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) and Patient Information Systems such as Cerner.
Benefits
This temporary full-time position is classified as a Registered Nurse with remuneration ranging from $1,566.70 to $2,199.60 per week for 38 hours. There is a possibility of ongoing employment until 15 November 2026.
