About the role
The North Dakota State Hospital is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join their team. They are hiring for full-time, part-time, and temporary positions with various shifts available. Temporary positions are part-time and ongoing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care to clients
- Perform and supervise professional-level generalized and psychiatric nursing functions
- Provide direct patient care
- Administer medications and treatments
- Complete thorough nursing assessments
- Evaluate clients' behavior and treatment progress
- Develop, implement, and revise Nursing Care Plans as needed
- Aid in formulating treatment programs
- Coordinate personnel to maintain a therapeutic environment
- Conduct performance appraisals
- Offer leadership and positive role modeling for unit staff
Requirements
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or registration in another state and meeting the eligibility requirements for licensure in ND
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug testing
Qualifications
- Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
- Knowledge of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Practice Standards established by the American Nurses Association
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Pay
