About the role

The Forensic Mental Health Program provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety. This is a safe and secure treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of clients, develop individualized nursing plans to meet those needs in coordination with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide direct nursing interventions and/or delegate specific nursing tasks to appropriate staff.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan and the care provided.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved nursing school.
• Current licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to pass/perform CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Intervention.
• Preferred qualifications: patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting, Bachelor's of Nursing degree.

• Future Registered Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-RN.

$39.89 - $59.03 / hourly; $83,290 - $123,254 / annually
