About the role

Join a dedicated nursing team in a medical-surgical unit, providing direct patient care in accordance with organizational policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Apply evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and quality of life.
  • Develop individualized care plans through assessment, nursing diagnoses, and goal setting.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure culturally sensitive, ethical, and compassionate decision-making.
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
  • Mentor colleagues and promote a positive work environment.
  • Utilize leadership skills and apply scientific knowledge to clinical practice.
  • Perform point of care testing and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent education for licensing.
  • Valid RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
  • No prior experience required.

Physical and Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in communication, standing, walking, and data entry.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move patients and objects, with occasional bending and repositioning.
  • Visual and auditory acuity to assess patient needs and respond to alarms and sounds.

Schedule

This role involves night shifts.
