About the role
Join a dedicated nursing team in a medical-surgical unit, providing direct patient care in accordance with organizational policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Apply evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and quality of life.
- Develop individualized care plans through assessment, nursing diagnoses, and goal setting.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Communicate effectively to ensure culturally sensitive, ethical, and compassionate decision-making.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
- Mentor colleagues and promote a positive work environment.
- Utilize leadership skills and apply scientific knowledge to clinical practice.
- Perform point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent education for licensing.
- Valid RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
- No prior experience required.
Physical and Technical Skills
- Proficiency in communication, standing, walking, and data entry.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move patients and objects, with occasional bending and repositioning.
- Visual and auditory acuity to assess patient needs and respond to alarms and sounds.
Schedule
This role involves night shifts.
