Registered Nurse
About the role
Medcor is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to work at our occupational health clinic in Burbank, CA. The position involves 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts ranging from 6:00am - 2:00pm and 10am-6pm. The pay rate is $57.14 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of Medcor’s daily operations at clients’ workplaces, including workplace incident triage, emergency response, and treatment for employees, contractors, and guests according to Medcor’s Care Protocols.
- Treatment of minor illness and injuries, as well as major trauma and medical emergency management.
- Help lead a team providing customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees.
- Respond to medical emergencies.
- Administer screenings and tests.
- Work closely with the Environmental, Health, and Safety departments.
- Provide wellness education.
- Document using an electronic medical record.
- Aid in daily clinic operations including clerical, IT, medical supply management, and medical equipment maintenance.
- Assist with Workers’ Compensation claim initiation and OSHA record-keeping (though not case management).
Requirements
- Valid unrestricted California RN license.
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA or ARC).
- At least two years' experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Department, ICU, or relevant field.
- Solid clinical skills.
- A positive and outgoing personality.
- Good at prioritizing and multitasking.
- Willingness to provide excellent customer service and go above and beyond.
- Comfortable working alone or independently in a clinic environment.
- A minimum of 2 years of field experience.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures with excellence.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and EMR software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
