Description of responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing:
- Ensure that the community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care
- Partners with executive director to analyze and maintain resident and team member health and safety
- Partners with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents
- Responsible for clinical expertise of licensed nurses
- Aids in team member education
- Identifies ongoing needs and services of residents
- Ensures resident service plans are updated as indicated by state regulations
- Communicates with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns
- Participates in community awareness activities and community relations
- Orders clinical supplies
- Schedules clinical team members
- Participates in a rotating on-call schedule
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required experience
- Current state license as a licensed professional nurse or registered nurse
- Two (2) years’ experience as a licensed nurse
- One (1) year nurse management experience
- Experience in senior living, home health, or long-term care
- Demonstrated competence in assessment skills, injections, medication administration, follow-up and triage
